I was set to buying this laptop but I saw a review that the touchpad was giving the person problems and then I saw that many people had the same problem and had to disable the touchpad and settle for a USB mouse.

I just bought the NW viao from best buy and l really enjoy this laptop. The touch pad seems to be a little picky. If your finger is to smooth or cold it has a hard time picking it up on the first touch but it mostly works ok. It is a little irritating when you are in a rush to click and run….. and you have to change fingers to make it work. The pros definitely out way that issue though.

I get no audio on television when i connect my laptop to it through a HDMI cable?
I get audio when i use windows media center, so the cable is fine…… but not on the internet or any other media player. Problem is that windows media center will not play the file types I need, plus i want to be able to watch things on the internet…… any ideas on what could be wrong?

Laptop screen horizontal lines?
My laptop (dell latitude d820) Is suffering from horizontal lines on the screen, blury text and what appears to be colour issues as well. also when on for a long period of time to screen would ‘white out’ and then impossible to see.
I checked it out on a external monitor, no problems works perfectly there.
So then I got a new screen which had a new inverter board fitted. I assume the back light was fresh on the new screen to.

I have a Gateway laptop with Windows Vista. Whenever I update my itunes program to a newer version it makes my dvd drive stop reading. I forgot about this and updated my itunes version I took it to the geek squad at best buy before when it was under warranty and they said the update changed a registry file and he was able to fix it. Is this a common issue or does anyone know how to fix it?
It’s an Upper Filter issue, that indeed can be repaired by editing the registry.
