Not sure if this applies to your situation, but I had a similiar problem on all 3 of my XP computers to the same network. My Vista computer was fine. All four computers were running Zone Alarm Free. I uninstalled ZA Free and the problem is fixed. Apparently a recent Zone Alarm update was released that was cross-platform, works fine on Vista but can crash out XP machines. Good luck.

It is a wireless/ 4 port router so I have one ethernet cord hooked up to my PC and I am trying to use the wireless part for my laptop, I know the connection is working because it is working on my PC but I think the problem lies within my laptop because it will even say it is connected when I hook it directly up via ethernet cable but I won’t be able to load any websites.

Ok, why would you buy a router when you already have one connected to your PC, do you mean a wireless access point? If you have a router it will not work PERIOD. I am making the assuption that your PC is hardwired to the net. So you dont need a router, you need a wireless access point then you plug it in to your pc and install the driver, then you right click on your ntl connection and go properties and choose internet connection sharing. Make sure that the wireless card has DHCP enabled. The access point should come with a wizard so you shouldnt have any problems their although you are female….. so anything is possible.
