the screen was probably closed to violently. this could have caused any number of problems, such as breaking the connection between the motherboard and the screen or broken the motherboard itself. if the screen flashes on i doubt its the screen. take it to your local pc shop they should be able to open it up and take a look to see what’s wrong and most probably repair it or order the part. if its the motherboard it wont be cheap to fix but if its the connection it shouldn’t be to expensive. hope this helps.
