Had a similar problem a while back.
Ended up investing (it is just that) in an external hard drive to keep files/folders/music, etc as back up storage. Also, try to burn music and stuff to discs. You’ll free up a load of space on your hard drive, then you can defrag and get things moving a biut better.

Bear in mind this may take some time and you’d do well to get something like O & O Defrag which will do a great job and quicker than the Microsoft defrag program.

Also, if you don’t back that stuff up soon, you’ll end up losing it all when it crashes on you anyway.
