When I take out the charger the pink light stays on, and the still charging sign is still on the computer with an x in the middle please help if possible.

I have the same computer. From what ive read in forums, dells, particularly 1520s, have a lot of trouble with batteries and power cords.

My screen used to get brighter when i put in the power cord and dim when i took it out to save energy. That stopped about 10 days ago and not the unit doesnt generate enough power to run my external hard drive.

Id just have to say you could try a wipe/reinstall to see if its a software problem. If its not that then either the light is disfuntional (which i doubt) or there is a problem with the power supply (much more likely with dells).

I have an Acer Travelmate 4021. It has two memory card slots. I have put two x 1Gb card in eqach but it won’t boot up. I take the top card out and its fine. I’ve been advised that my laptop can take upto 2gb of ram memory. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why it doesn’t work with both cards in?

If it boots with either of the 1GB sticks, but not with both, then they are not the same, so not compatible.

For example, 128*32 is the same as 64*64 but those 2 configs might not work together.
