I’m having trouble installing world of warcraft on my laptop running vista can anyone help?

I have two Sony Viao laptops and have installed WoW onto mine. Now I’m trying to install it onto the other laptop which is my sons and its giving me problems. The message I keep getting is that: My computer appears to be behind a firewall. It said the same thing on my laptop but I was able to install WoW without any problems. On my sons laptop, it keeps crashing to desktop during the downloading of the patches. Would appreciate any suggestions!

Here’s a tip, wow doesn’t have to be installed. Copy your sons WOW directory onto a burned DVD and just copy the directory into your program files, make youself your own short cut.

If you insist on installing it, some times it is a pain, what you can do is copy the first CD into a temporary directory, there will be one file that is rather large, like 700megs, I forget what it is called, it ends with something like .mmq. Ayway there is a file like this one each disk, but with a diferent number, 1 – 4, copy that file from each disc into the directory you created. Now run the setup.exe from that directory. It’s a pain in the butt but it works.

I am going to france – 6 hour car journey! Want to watch as many films as possible

if theirs a setting to put your computer on a power save mode click that
if your computer have Bluetooth turn that off.

Has anyone else tried the new Yahoo mail on an Apple Mac?

I have tried using the new Yahoo mail on my Apple Macintosh iBook G4 laptop, but found that it was so slow and processor hungry (it maxed it out) that I had to switch back. I also tried it on a dual core G5 and had the same problem – there were no other applications running on either machine.

I run a new Macbook and also find Yahoo! Mail Beta often painfully slow. This is direct from the Yahoo! Mail team, as of April 2006:

“Mac launch performance is a story unto itself. It goes like this: Once upon a time…we knew we had a ways to go optimizing the Beta for the Mac. So we set to work on it. And we’re working on it now! The End.”

This problem may be specific to Mac users, or it may not. Please remember that I do NOT run Windows. Please do not send me advice for a PC. I do not own or run a PC. That will not help. I am not going to buy a PC just so that I’ll get the appropriate advice. I need advice for a Macintosh. If you could send me information about speeding up the new Yahoo! Mail on a Mac computer, I would really appreciate it. Mac mac mac.”
